Stethoscope and stories: Bangalore International Centre hosts launch of Dr BC Rao’s book

BENGALURU: The Bangalore International Centre (BIC) recently hosted the launch of Untold Tales From A Family Physician’s Bag by Dr BC. Rao, drawing a diverse crowd of literary enthusiasts, medical professionals, patients, and friends.
The book was unveiled by BCCI President Roger Binny, who praised Dr. Rao's narrative for its blend of profound insight and compassionate storytelling. The event was attended by key figures such as Dr Gopal Hosur, IPS (Retd.), and Col. (Dr.) Mohan Kubendra, highlighting the book’s broad appeal.
Two interviews with Dr. Rao deepened the audience’s understanding of the book's themes. Astronomer and long-time patient Dipankar Vasu Mallik explored the book’s serious reflections on evolving medical practices, while IT professional Swetha Reddy Pitchela hosted a lighthearted session.
The launch concluded with a book signing, where attendees praised the book for its authentic voice, offering a tribute to the vital role of empathy and storytelling in healthcare.
