Telangana engineering student & his friend held for raping 20-year-old

HYDERABAD: Two persons, including an engineering student, were arrested for the alleged gang rape of a 20-yearold woman in Bachupally. Although the incident took place nearly 10 days ago, it came to light on Monday.The woman was allegedly in a relationship with the engineering student. The other accused, a samosa vendor, is an acquaintance of her boyfriend. Bachupally inspector J Upender Rao said both the accused have been sent to judicial remand.Survivor came to city for internshipThe survivor, who is pursuing her graduation in Tamil Nadu, had come to Hyderabad for an internship at a city-based hospital.On the night of the offence, the couple had gone to a party and later returned to the man’s home. Both were intoxicated, according to police officials.It was here that the two accused allegedly raped her, police said. Later, she approached Bachupally police who arrested the two men.
