Operation Sindoor is India's response to the Pahalgam attack, in which 26 civilians were killed by terrorists in Kashmir on April 22. The retaliatory operation took place on May 7, in which India targeted nine different locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), with the intention of eliminating terrorist elements in the region. Following the operation, a ceasefire was agreed upon on May 10, after which tensions have de-escalated.
